Time for a scarf!

I am thrilled to wake up to 41 degrees. Such a nice change since the the days of waking up to 92 degrees.

One of the BEST things about this time of year is busting out my scarves. I love accessories. I found an excellent website - http://ziamoda.com and they really break down the different types of scarves and different ways to wear them.

I wanted to share a few tips they give us:

" How to Tie a Long Scarf: The Free Fall

This look is simply sumptuous with a strapless dress.

1. Fold the scarf lengthwise to desired thickness.

2. Place center of the scarf at the base of the front of the neck and allow the ends to drape behind.

How to Tie a Head Scarf: Soft Urban

Sweep your hair back in a romantic look. Similar to the Urban Chic, but with more hair showing.

1. Fold a square scarf in half to form a triangle.

2. Place the long edge along your hairline with the triangle pointing behind.

3. Tie the ends under your hair in a bow or knot.

4. Slightly push the scarf back to show more of your hairline

How to Tie a Neck Scarf: Mid-length Neck Scarf

To complete an outfit and add a slimming length to your look, tie one jauntily around your neck.

1. Fold scarf lengthwise to desired thickness.

2. Place the middle of the scarf at the back of your neck so the ends drape in front.

3. Take both ends, knot and pull the knot up to your neck.

4. Optional: fluff some of the fabric over the knot so that the fabric covers the knot.

5. Optional: Pull the knot to the side of your neck.

How to Tie a Long Scarf: Wear It Long

Don't think we need a description here - just hang it from your neck. The trend this summer and fall is to wear them long - in fact the longer the better.

Oh love these scarves and these great ideas!! Wish I could wear them without feeling like such a dork. Same with hats... these items look cool on everyone else, but on me, they scream dork.

I love scarves, though I don't actually own many. I usually wear the same one all the time. I've been wearing pretty much the same scarf for over four years now. It's rainbow colored and knitted. So me. All the other scarves I see in the stores just can't replace it.

Oh, man, I'm right there with my sister above ... I so WISH I could wear them, but I don't think I can pull them off (unless it's winter and it's 10 below outside.) Maybe if I follow some of your tips, I'll be able to do it!
