Meet Me on Monday

Since the Lady Blogger's Society has seemed to discontinue the tea parties (or at least put them on hold) - I find that I am missing the opportunities to visit new blogs. My little circle is all linked up.

Then I happened to visit one of my favorite bloggers, The Bi Polar Diva, and decided if she found a blog hop she liked - perhaps it is not so bad!

Yes, I am participating. :-) Let me get the business part over - here are the rules: Go to nevergrowningold.blogspot.com and "link up."
Then answer these questions and obviously - go visit some of the other blogs linked up! I hope to find some gems to join!

PS - If you are visiting me for the first time - make sure to read the About Me Tab and the Best of Tab.

Questions:
1. Do your pants get hung on a hangar or folded?
I fold my jeans and yoga/workout pants. I hang my dress pants and capris. One of the few places I am super organized is my closet. I literally hang by style, then I divide that by color. Seriously! If I want a short sleeve green shirt, I look in the shirt section and then I look for green. Also - the shirts are divided by - flowy, button down, plain, long sleeve, or "night time." Oh.. my.. I digress..

2. If you are stranded on an Island, what 3 things would you need to have with you (not including humans or electronic devices)?
I would bring a book, I suppose I should have a bible with me. (Pray to get OFF the island.) Then my tooth brush. Deodorant. Yeah - I am a hygiene freak.

3. Where is the farthest you have ever traveled to?
Egypt. My husband is Egyptian. My trip over there took 2 1/2 days. I flew from Birmingham to Memphis on a Monday night. Over night trip (transatlantic) to Amsterdam then 10 hour layover. Then another night time trip to Cairo. THEN a 3 hour drive to Alexandria in the scariest microbus.

4. Do you live in a house, trailer or apartment, etc.?
I live in an apartment. 1 bed room, 1 bathroom. I have a sunroom with skylights, a wood burning marble fireplace, a garden bathtub and a galley kitchen. It's cozy, and it's cute.

5. What is your most hated household chore?
I hate doing the dishes. Or dusting. Blech!

Oh my, my, my, my, my!!! You would have an outright stroke if you saw my closet. But then I even get queasy when I look at it!

Love your blog! Cannot imagine traveling for over 2 days to get somewhere so I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you!

Hi Nicole it is so nice to meet you and I am now following! I completely agree with you re: the closet - I do the exact same thing. If you want to find that particular blouse you can immediately, right????? Nice blog and btw, I oppose the "fat" tax too.

Egypt! Cool!

And that's quite a closet organization system you've got.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am not the closet organizer you are, but then I don't have the amount of clothes you do, i'm sure.

If it took me two days of flying to get somewhere I doubt I would ever go. So nice to hear you made it to Egypt, safe and sound, and home again. How long was the flight home?

Nicole said...

Thanks everyone!

Gramma Ann - it took even LONGER. Most of the time was me stuck in Amsterdam at the airport. The Transatlantic flight was almost 11 hours that time. (Something to do with the wind.. coming back.) It was all for a good cause - to meet my husband!! :-)

Okay I am jealous! You've been to Egypt! I would absolutely love to go there one day. There and Hawaii.
I'm with you on the dusting. Not one of my favourite chores either.
