Reduce - Renew - Reuse

I spent the afternoon with a dear friend at the Moss Rock Festival, a little celebration of living "Green." I live up on a ridge in the southern part of Birmingham - over that ridge (basically behind where I live) is the Moss Creek Preserve and a neighborhood called The Preserve. Here is a look at my journey this afternoon:

This is the neighborhood behind my home - The Preserve. Typical southern homes.

This is a recycled materials art installation. The pendulum actually works and is made of bowing balls.

Bunch of tents in a big field in the valley (over the mountain)

Interesting project created by middle school students

Fabulous recycled bottles with colorful feathers that seems to glow in the sun!

The raven

Whimsical little fishy

I turned to my friend, Julie, who happens to be a therapist and said - "Hey, you should put this in your office." LOL

Always searching for PEACE

Don't know if you new - but I have been crazy about peacocks since I was a little girl. Here is a beautiful cake done by the students at The Culinard

And yet - ANOTHER peacock cake. I was in heaven!

Word!

I took this pic for the egyptian. He does love his muscle cars!

Tips on going Green!

Hope you had a great Saturday!

I love peacocks too! I almost made it my theme for the impending nuptials. That cake is awesome!
