I am not sure why it is working this time, or why I am so determined, BUT - I weighed myself this morning, and I am down even MORE.
Looks like I am one pound away from my 5% goal. However, it is still totally possible to make it, since I am only supposed to weigh in on Sundays. I can't believe it! I have tons more to lose, but if I stay on this path, it looks like I could be at my goal weight in about 6 months. Guess how long until I turn 40? 6 1/2 months.
It's totally doable. I can't believe it.
It was a little goal I had a loooong time ago. I never really got serious about it. But NOW... now that the magic number is about to pop up, it's on. I have spent almost an entire decade over weight. No more.
Did I mention how excited I am?
I feel bad that I am not exercising as much as I should. Right now, I am just recovering from the move. (Which was exercising in itself.) I did do quite a bit of swimming this past weekend, and the plan is to do the same. I hope my little niece comes over, she and I can keep super busy!
One of my friends asked what I was doing to lose the weight, and honestly, it's fairly simple. I finally found things I like that are fresh, raw and contain 1 - zero points on the Weight Watchers system. I eat tons of fresh fruit. I eat tons of raw, cut veggies. I eat egg whites and turkey bacon and whole wheat bread. I am consuming bean soups and wedges of cheese. I'll even throw in a PB & J or Grilled Cheese for good measure. I typically treat myself to a Moolatte from Dairy Queen about once a week, and I even ate some real potato chips the other day.
But the difference is, I am conscious. More so than ever before. I'm drinking more water, I opt for the less fattening when I go out to eat (which is not often.) I'm doing it, and I'm okay with it.
What have you done for your body today?
PS - Watch our Mr. Abdou. You did not know me with my little dancer's body back in the day. *giggle* it will be back soon! hahahahaaa
