Felix Dies Natalis (Merry Christmas)

Today is a super special day in my home, not only do we gather together, but we basically do most of our celebrating on this very day. When I was small, we would have dinner then go to church, followed by a quick stop by my Grandparent's home to open presents from them. It was a little extra special because today is my Great-Grandmother's birthday. She would have been 111 today. She, as well as the presents, were always what was so special about Christmas.

I plan to head to my parents house around lunch time (they live about 30 minutes away,) and our plan is to open presents and eat around 4pm. My hope is to come back to Macon and make it to mass on time. The egyptian has to work today and plans to fly out around 2pm or so for NJ.

Christmas Day my family plans to come over for snacks and for Autumn to open her stocking from me. Then I have to pack for my trip to New Orleans.

I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. My blogging will be on pause during my trip, so I hope you make a point to stop back by on Saturday.

I will leave you with this:
