A moment for yourself

I like to think of my blog as a place for me to work out the 5 million things going on in my head.
While on vacation, I came across a magazine (in the bathroom of all places) and I randomly flipped to the back.

My finger fell on one page in particular. The photo in the pic is of a European Seaside village and at the top it read: A Moment For Yourself.

All that was on there was a short paragraph. As I read the paragraph, I thought about how much it seemed to describe this very blog. Not for you, I am sure.. but for me.

My great escape.

Here is what the paragraph said :

There is no better time than now, during these relaxed days of summer, to slip away. To a special place where you have room to breathe, think and explore parts of yourself that surface in solitude, away from the noise of everyday life.

A luxurious trip, and afternoon in the park - where you go is less important than creating moments for self-discovery.

Be your own compass, and wherever your journey takes you, you'll never feel lost.

My own personal little fortune cookie... or heck, the perfect little mission statement for me.

When I come to this blog and begin to write, I am all about self discovery.

What about you? What do you hope to accomplish with your writing? And if you don't write, where do you go for a moment by yourself?

I would have to agree with that whole heartedly. Everyone needs some form of escape, to let their thoughts out and have a support system to encourage them! I love your blog! ~hugs, M

What a great moment to find your blog mantra. I think it is a perfect choice of words for this destination home of yours, perfectly discribing your place. (how funny that it found you in the bathroom. That universe, I tell ya, it sure has a sense of humor!)

Hmmmm . . . What do I hope to accomplish in my writing?? A good question - one I must ponder . . . Now you've got me thinking (dangerous).

Happy new follower. I enjoyed my visit to your blog.I enjoy blogging very much But, it is not an escape for me though it is a pleasure. My escape often comes from creating. In my art room I am in another world. Away from home my escape always includes my sweet hubby. When we escape together to the coast of Oregon we are both in a blissful place. Hugs!
