Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I actually was blessed with an opportunity to go on a trip to the beach for New Years and have been gone the past couple of days.
There is so much to write about in 2012, and I am excited and just bursting with ideas and topics. But right now, I just want to share my New Year's Eve with everyone.
Many, MANY heartfelt thanks to the Roger's Family for inviting me to tag along on their annual New Year's trip. Their kindness and generosity does not go un noticed!
Here is a sneak peek at New Year's Eve:
Two of my friends I have known since I was 12 - Leslie & Lisa. Leslie's family goes somewhere for New Year's each year - this year, they invited me along... literally a few hours before they left for Savannah. Here is Leslie and Lisa hanging out in our hotel room in Savannah, Georgia.
We started the night off with Godfather's Pizza in Savannah. Nothing better than Pepperoni and cheese pizza for your last meal of 2011!!
After we all got everything together - we drove the 20 miles down to Tybee Island - which is located right on the Atlantic Ocean for the New Year's celebration. The rickety beach shacks were decorated with lights.
Wind blowing - almost midnight - sitting on the beach on New Year's Eve. Not bad at all. (Might I add - it was only in the upper 60s. Ahhh.. Georgia...)
Right before the clock struck midnight! I was soooo glad to say goodbye to 2011.
You can sort of see the ocean here....
Leslie and I went for a quick walk down to the water - Happy New Year!
This is how Santa rolls for Christmas!
The evening was great! Good laughs, good conversation, then we headed back to the hotel and caught about 4 or 5 hours sleep.
Over all - I could not wait to ring in the New Year! It felt good to let it all go. What a better way than to send it all of the way out into the ocean!
Stay tuned for more pics from my trip!
So long 2011... gotta keep the MOMENTUM going!
