Fresh Perspective

A little girl talk, some homemade turkey tacos, an episode of Dancing With The Stars, and a good nights sleep...

And this is what I wake up to.

Thanks, Telisa.

Last night, I drove the 45 minutes it takes to get from my parent's country retreat (lol) to the military town of Warner Robins. My friend, Telisa and her 15 year old daughter, Peyton, live there. She has this adorable condo/townhouse on a lake. I literally snapped that photo with my phone, right before I went to type this.

I am in my Wonder Woman pajamas, I have a cup of coffee by my side, and I am watching the ducks do their thing.

I almost feel normal again.

It's nice to be wanted somewhere. If I had thought ahead, I would have packed more, since she asked me to stay one more night - but unfortunately, I left some of my BP meds at home.. and only have enough to get through the night.

The egyptian called several times yesterday. Can I just tell you how much that warms my heart? It may seem silly, and normal for most people.. but when you are trying to rebuild, it's actually a very big deal.

No jobs. Very little money. But I am okay today. I have what I need, and that is all that matters.

Now I just need to get my crazy family to back off a little, and all will be well.

Happy Wednesday!

Thank God for you, Telisa, and for all good friends everywhere.

And it doesn't seem silly at all, Nicole, that you're happy that your husband called a few times in one day. I'm glad he misses you!
