Okay. I am a tough girl, and I can take it. Yep - today turned into a big, bad MFer. Sorry for the profanity or the implication of profanity.. but .. well... sometimes it is just the right thing to say. (I did not say morally right.. just.. appropriate for the moment.)
Thank you so much Blog Friends for the awesome support.
You guys know better than anyone all of the crappy tests I have endured this year, as well as the changes I am trying to make. You guys also know how I have dreaded the d-o-c and kind of laughed off the mammogram. Then the call today.
I swear.. the conversation went something like this...
"Hello, this is Nicole." (my work cell phone)
"May I speak with Shauna Abdou?" (yes.. my first name)
"This is she."
"This is hadlbqcicubn;onconfoinu Dr. Sparks akjsdnwoifvwoivun mammogram ajdhchbficbvciv indention akjdidiffn..."
"Wait.. a minute.. who is this?"
"kjncsaicniuf from Dr. Sparks Office. We got the results from your mammogram back."
"Oh.. okay."
" We found lfkmsofvnfovwf in your left breast.. oadncidcnic indention... askdjnicjncijn could be normal... idcniwedcnicn.. we don't know.. ldkjcnicnifcn you need follow up sfkjnwifnwifvunifv digital imaging kjdcnisdjncicn ultra sound dkjcndcindijnv... "
"Uh.. okay."
"Would you like us to set this up or would you like to call?"
"I'll do it."
Then they gave me the number.. and I called. Was told they want me in asap.
Soo.. the above mumble jumble is exactly what I heard. My brain could not process what this women said and she was blazing thru it.
*sigh*
I'll keep you guys posted!
Sooo.. to make my day brighter, I want to share with you some of the pictures my dear friend, Brittany, took of me. She was just recently hired by magazine/stylist and will be working in Boston. She did me as favor.. and I can definitely say I knew her when! I believe she did a great job with the pics, unfortunately liposuction was not attached to the lens.. so it is what it is.
The pics were taken as a gift for the egyptian. Plus, this was the first time I have had pics professionally taken in my 30s! So - at 37 - I have chronicled me!
Sooo.. here I am!~

Beautiful photos Nicole! I am so sorry that you have to go through all of this! I want you to know that you are not alone. That is why I wrote my post. Many of us have some pretty steep mountains, but knowing that we are not alone does help in some way. Keep strong, as much as you can! Cry as much as you have to. And know that you will be OK! I will check in on you!
