That's trip #2 canceled this year. (Boo - I am 1 for 3 now.)
There are several reasons I have to stay back:
1. Zen Kitty recovering from surgery, and per doc's orders, should not be left alone.
2. It's going to rain all weekend.
It only makes sense to reschedule, God willing, if Lisa will forgive me for having to cancel.

In place of spending the weekend on the beach with some fabulous friends, I will opt for a Stay cation. Granted, I typically have every weekend off. But this time, my friend, "T", will also be able to hang out. We decided to turn our trip to the beach into a little weekend cat-sitting and doing small errands. But with a fun twist!
Tonight's it's ribs, frozen drinks, and a movie at the house! Not a bad way to spend a Friday night, especially when both of us had to work today. Tomorrow, we might take an hour or so and pop over to some antique shops and a great furniture liquidation place. We both like searching for a good deal, so this might end up being a lot of fun. Of course, there is the pool (except it's supposed to rain rain rain.. this WHOLE summer has been hot, humid and rainy.)
Hopefully Zen will be on the mend and everything will get back to normal. He's just a little kitty, and between the surgery, the micro chipping and booster shots, he just needs a little TLC.
