State of the Union -
My little dog, Venus de Milo, was killed yesterday by a car. :-( You may not of heard of Venus, she is a little Whippet Mix puppy I got from the pound back in 2000. It was a birthday gift to my ex husband, which meant, I bought her for myself. LOL
When I moved to Birmingham in 2005, unfortunately, the house we were living in was in one of those neighborhoods that would not allow us to erect a fence, so we ended up leaving my little teeny, tiny baby with my parents.
Last week, Oberon, King of the Fairies, and the biggest, fluffiest dog in the world (my parent's dog) died of old age. Yesterday, Venus was depressed, and somehow escaped her enclosure and ran straight for the road, and apparently was killed instantly by a car. Bless her sweet, little heart.

May 30th was my 2 year American wedding anniversary. In 2007, the egyptian and I had a ceremony of sorts in Egypt. However, it was not recognized by the government. When he arrived in America - we had to get married officially. So we did. He did not even remember. At the end of the day, I said - 'Hey, today is our 2 year American Wedding anniversary.' He just nodded.

It's like a freezer in this house. It is not cold literally, but figuratively. We are not even speaking to one another.
Sweeping changes.

Big day for me. I can't say much more. I promise to fill you in later.

Our furbabies ... really are part of our family, lives, and love ... my thoughts go out to you and your family.
Men... I don't think we'll ever figure out how they think (or don't). All we can do is work on boundaries and expectations of how we want our lives to be and go from there. Stay strong and brave my friend ... the wonderful thing in life is that change is constant and what hurts at the moment in time will heal.
Keeping you in my thoughts, blessings XO HHL
Thinking of you today - sending tons of positive thoughts out there in the universe just for you.
So so sorry about Venus de Milo . . . so sad. Yes, bless her.
You know that you can not change the person - you can only change how YOU accept and react to the things happening in life.
I Believe in you.

I agree with Leanne, you cannot change the person, the only person you can change is how you accept and react to the things that happen in life.
Keep you chin up and a smile on that beautiful face. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Ouch and ouch. Sending you Band-Aids for your heart.
So much loss all at once! I'm so sorry. Keep looking at it all with a positive spin -- change, reinvention, moving forward -- and maybe that can help a bit ....
sending good thoughts your way
