What sets you apart from everyone else? What is your unique DNA? If someone had to identify your body - what would they look for?
Morbid thought? No, it's all about being self aware.
What if someone was blind, and they were asking for specific descriptions? How about the fact that you probably know every freckle, scar, and wrinkle on a loved one's face?
I suppose there are aspects to me (physically) that are unique. Something many of you would not know by looking at my photo.. perhaps only my husband and my mom may be aware of.
For one, I have a birthmark on the left side of my neck, about the size of a nickel, right near my chin. When I was in middle school, silly kids would always say I had a hickey. It is not that dark, but if you are look - you will see it.
Where is your birthmark?
I also have a scar on my left thumb. It's the only time I ever had to have stitches. It happened when I was 21 or so, I came home from college, and went out with one of my friends. We were stopping at Burgar King, and I accidentally slammed and locked my thumb in the door of an old Monte Carlo. (Can we say ouch?) Broke my thumb and ended up several stitches.
Did you ever have stitches?
I also have a scar down the left side of my hand - sort of where the thumb and index finger meet. As a freshman in college, I was heating up a lunch bucket - when I went to grab it, the hot sauce came pouring out of the top holes. Needless to say, my skin bubbled up and I think I screamed bloody murder.
Ever burn yourself?
I also have a tattoo. Yep! I really do, I have a frog prince on my left breast. It is small, about the size of a quarter and it is only in black. I got it when I was 30 years old. I used to buy this one pack of fake tattoos for fun, and always there was this tiny little frog prince, and I would put it on my ankle. When trying to decide what to get, I thought - why not get the frog prince! I always loved the story of the frog prince. For me, it was a reminder that all it would take is the right moment, right opportunity and BOOM - I would be what I should always be.
Do you have a tattoo?
I always wear my engagement ring. The egyptian and I never did wedding bands for me - I just loved my engagement ring and that it was enough. He picked it out in Egypt, and it really is beautiful - and quite unique.
On my right hand, I will often wear a claddagh that was given to me by the sister of an old boyfriend in college. She and her husband traveled to Ireland and brought this ring back to me - knowing that my mom's side of the family is Irish.
What jewelry do you never leave the house without?
As for me - and recognizing me on the street, I think my most obvious (unique) feature that stands out are possibly my eyes. They are really light blue. I think with the dark hair and fair skin, it makes them stand out even more.
What feature stands out the most on you?
I would love to hear about you in the comment section!
