I was able to slowly pull myself out of my funk... and concentrate on me (a little.) Sure, "the other" is hovering over my head. I appreciate all of your words of encouragement.
So - what does a married girl, living alone and barely speaking to her husband do for Valentine's Day? Well...
After work I stopped by my mail box -
There was a package for little ol' me!!!!
Inside were three things:
Just a few days early - But perfect! A card, a Starbucks ($25) gift card and a box of semi-precious stone heart necklaces! Here is a closer look at the stones. I LOVE IT!
Then I did something... I pulled out my middle eastern pillows. "HE" has hated them.. but they are back!
Then I began working on my Pandora playlist a little more.. and listen to some good songs. Kid Rock's "picture" had me singing at the top of my lungs... did I mention I had my sequined devil horns on? Oh yeah.. it felt appropriate as I cleaned a little more...
Then I figured - it's Valentine's Day... I need chocolate. But since I am clearly the devil and my temper is fiery... I went for this:
Finally.. to quench the fire - I dug into my goat cheese... That's it! I did take a little nap, and then watch a little of the movie, "Training Day." I plan to watch a little Netflix tonight.
With that my dears - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY.
It was actually a halfway decent night.. sure, a little too quiet and lonely - but overall, I think I treated myself very well.
Oh yeah.. forgot to share - my pic from the Little Red Dress Party!

What a thoughtful gift. I think my wife would have liked those necklaces too. I once got a $25 card to Starbucks and I hate coffee. That was a lot of hot chocolate and crumpets.
I've tried that Chili chocolate. I quite like it.
