Alive and Kicking

Just a quick check in!

I am alive ~ Just so you know. I said kicking... but really, more so trying to kick this cold/flu thing. SICK.

Sooo sick.

And I slept soo bad last night. My virus ran it's course, but now it seems I have a killer sinus infection or something. I call it a "flu" because all I want to do is curl up and sleep.

I even got a call this morning for an interview with a local Hospice Group. They are looking for a Community Relations Specialist, and asked to see me today. I politely asked could we do it tomorrow - since I am not feeling well.

Not sure if that was a good idea or not, but I just had to. So - I slept, then watched NatGeo all day. Seriously. I know all of the predators of the forest and the african desert. ;-)

By the time Autumn got home from school, I was watching 100 Greatest Hip Hop songs on Fuse, and was rolling in the floor laughing with Autumn's rendition of Low by Flo Rida. She literally smack her bootie when he says, "Gave that big booty a smack." OMG.... I just can't make this up

That's about it. Sick.

One more thing, one of my friends, as well meaning as she is (You know I love you!) told me to stop venting on my blog. I politely told her, "Thank you, but not going to happen." Yep. Sorry guys. I might extend an apology from time to time for my mood, but there is one thing I am NOT - and that is fake.

If I don't feel good, you know. If I feel great, you know. If you give me advice, I listen - but at the end of the day, I am a 38 year old woman just finding her way, and I will always choose what makes the most sense for me.

That includes, but is not limited to complaining and venting when I see fit.

Well, one ibuprofen down, and hopefully a fun night of Dancing With the Stars and cuddle time with a 5 year old.
