Earl Wilson once said, "A vacation is what you take when you can no longer take what you've been taking"
I could not agree more, Earl.
I've had about all I can take.. and I'm tired. My spirit is tired, my brain is tired, my body is tired... I am in desperate need of a little time off. Luckily, I'm about to get that - I'm taking a long weekend and heading to the coast.
Between the budget cuts looming, to navigating dating in your 40s (post divorce,) to maintaining a quasi-successful healthier lifestyle.. I just need a few moments to breath in the salt air, feel the sand beneath my toes, and just bask in the sunshine.
You know, when God made the beach, he really was showing off! There is hands down, nothing more therapeutic than spending a little time by sea.
It's fascinating to me how the actual sound of the waves rolling onto the shore and crashing against the coast can bring a sense of serenity.... but that feeling, that indescribably fantastic feeling is what I am craving and in dire need of.
I challenge each of you to find your happy place this weekend. Even if it is nothing more than a few moments alone in a warm bath, try to release the tension of the week and breathe.
I can't wait to share with you guys all that happens on my trip!
(PS - Sorry for the lame post. I'm tired, it's after midnight, and I'm just finishing up a little laundry. Have a wonderful weekend!)
